FFF 6/27

June 27th, 2008

Sorry I’m late! I was busy working. And by working I mean lounging around in the pool. Yesterday and today were our first good weather days to use it and I’m taking FULL advantage! :)

Anyway, I’m here now - and here are your Fab Five for this week!

Vacation by lhanks - I absolutely love the simplicity of this layout. It’s perfect for keeping the focus on the breathtaking photos. I want to go on vacation now more than I usually do! Just gorgeous.

Nature’s Playground by azrood - I love the tree and the ribbons with these photos, it’s just so fun!

Little Tumbler by heb1976 - This sequence of photos is pure perfection and the simplicity of the layout is exactly what they need, and I love the title work!

It’s Good to Have Pals by Lucky Luci - I didn’t try to pick this many layouts that used Chrissy’s templates, but I couldn’t resist adding this one, too! I love the colors, the title work, and those stitched brackets. Perfect!

Boys and Their Toys by mom2da3ks - Ok so maybe I am a bit impartial since this was made with my kit, but this is the cutest layout I’ve seen with this kit! Love the yellow and the stars and the way the journaling is on there. LOVE!

Congrats all! Was even tougher than usual to pick this week!!

Friday Fab Five for Five! 6/20

June 20th, 2008

It’s time again to honor 5 fabulous layouts from the Elemental Scraps gallery! These 5 artists will each receive 5 points toward their challenge fund - and get that much closer to a shopping spree!

Lets get to it!

Kisses and Hugs by LoriJ - Lori used the free quick page from the It’s Elementary, my Dear Scrapper challenge and transformed it into this beauty. I love all the orange and the great shadowing!

Laugh Out Loud by southernmother - I love the solid black with all the bright colors, and the split photo is so eye catching. Plus, it’s black and white which automatically wins a place in my heart!

Crazy Hair Day by ChrissyW - The template goddess herself used a template (not even one of hers!) to whip together this FUN layout! I love the fun pictures, and her journaling always makes me feel like a bad mom because I don’t do as good of a job documenting our lives.

Pure Happiness by ScrapTigz - I love this! The composition, the colors, the splotches, all of it! So eyecatching!

Summer Smile by kchris - This is just so fabulous. I love the lined paper with the color blocking, the shadows are amazing, and it’s just so perfect!

Congrats to our 5 winners! I will PM Marisa and let her know to add your 5 points!

FFF 6/13

June 13th, 2008

It’s time again for the Friday Fab Five for Five! Each Friday, I’m going to post my favorite 5 layouts from the ES Gallery from that week. Each of those 5 people will receive 5 challenge points towards their ES gift certificate! (You can read more about that program here.)

Here are your FFF for 6/13/08!

1. Girly Girl by Berrygirl

Love the colors, the giant scallops, the title work - and it took me right back to when my daughter got her ears pierced. Gorgeous layout!

2. Be Clean by chigirl

FUN layout! Love the big sparkly arrows and the photos. And I have a huge soft spot for those father/child layouts.

3. Pool Days by Side by Side

I love the sliced photo, and now that it looks like we might actually have a summer here in NE Ohio, I’m in a Pool Days kinda mood!

4. Dad by TN Chick

I am always challenged to do a layout without it being all girly with flowers and swirls and all the stuff I love, and this layout definitely accomplished that! It’s gorgeous, yet masculine, yet the colors are still soft. I love it all!

5. Reach by flipflop

This layout is simply stunning. I’ve come back to it over and over (I’m probably half the views it’s had or more haha). The composition, the acrylic, the 3 simple flowers, the journaling… I’m just in love!

Congrats, to our Fab Five for this week! I’ll be PMing Marisa to add your points.

Check back next week for our next FFF - one of them could be you! :)

Friday Fab Five for Five!

June 6th, 2008

Hey everyone! I’m Angie, a new designer here at ES, and I’m the lucky one that gets to bring you a brand new feature called the Friday Fab Five for Five! What’s that, you ask? Well, I’m happy to tell you! Each Friday, I’m going to post my favorite 5 layouts from the ES Gallery from that week. Each of those 5 people will receive 5 challenge points towards their ES gift certificate! (You can read more about that program here.)

Now that we’ve explained all of that - lets get down to it! Here are your FFF for 6/6/08!

1. Mommy I Will Always Love You by anja

I couldn’t resist the “realism” of this layout. The texture and depth is amazing, and the colors are to die for.

2. Live Out Loud by mom2da3ks

This is just funky and FUN. You can stare at it for 5 minutes and still be finding new little touches. Great detail!

3. Man’s Best Friend by chslynn

I had to pick this one. It’s so simple, yet effective. The shadows are perfection, the picture is adorable, and everything works together seamlessly.

4. Written In the Stars by Peppermint

When I saw this paper in the mega, I fell in love with it. But I wasn’t sure how I’d make it work on a layout. Well, here it is working perfectly! The title work on this is amazing, and everything just works.

5. Just Be You by Jacinda

This one just jumped out at me from the gallery. The black with the bright colors, the stitching, the awesome photography, it all just works.

Congrats, to our First Fab Five! I’ll be PMing Marisa to add your points.

Check back next week for our next FFF - one of them could be you! :)
