Journaling Reads:
Every family is a little bit different from another and that is part of what makes ‘family’ so special! Part of the decision to become a “houseparent” is accepting the challenging task of not only parenting our biological children, but also (in our case) embracing these 8 teenage boys into our family as well. It’s realizing that for however long God grants us, we are to welcome them in, advise them how we can and pray for them daily. People often give me that ‘you’re crazy’ look when they learn of our family dynamics of babies, toddler and teens. But that’s okay. What no one else seems to understand is the blessing that occurs when you open your heart and home to those in need of a little extra love and attention. They don’t know of the joy that comes from watching a wild two year old bask in the attention and safety of his older brothers or a pack of once rough guys melt at the sight of slobbery baby. It takes a little bit of everything to create a family and mine is no exception.

Beautiful journaling. My hat is off to you. I love your page with the journaling surrounding the photo and the string and buttons all around.
